I am wanting to get rid of my old speedo, and my radio in the dash of my boat. Figured since I was repainting the boat, now is a great time to do it. What is the best way to fix these holes??

normally plywood slugs and glass.

Thanks for the response. I have already plugged the holes with plywood. I was wondering about the glass. I was also told that I could use dyna glass over the plywood, and sand it smooth. Is this true?

you could, but I wouldn't. i would grind a bevel in in the dash and fill with layers of glass.
I mean if you going to do it, might as well do it right and not risk it froming a crack latter on down the road.

Would there be enough stress in that area to make it crack out?

If you keep letting T.S. sit up there to sunbathe, there will be all sorts of stress..... :D

Is this something a novice can do, or would I be better of taking it to a profesional?
