Im about to replace my steering cable. I have a rack and pinion now. Whats the difference in rack and pinion and rotary steering. Which is better? Im debating which type to get.

Randy theres a significant difference in the two the R&P is a lot nicer install and more postive(less slop) sometimes its merely a space issue though Tom
btw where ya been ,long time no hear?;)

So i should stick with the rack and pinion and just order a new cable?

Add another $0.02 and second that motion. Its actually not that much more just to replace the entire helm and cable assembly. Just did it myself.

I just bought new steering for my eliminator. R&P is by far better but I didn't have the room so I had to stick with the rotory. My wife was having a problem with the freeplay in the wheel so I thought I would just keep her happy...v-drive
