Back in my aircraft days we built doors for the 747s. Most were to be painted, but the American Airlines 747s were to be POLISHED. Those took extra, extra care about skin imperfections........Pain in the butt........But pretty when completed........MP

I've never painted a big ass commercial plane, but I have done a hand full of single engine, a few twins, a Bell 206B Jetranger and a ME-109.
I squirted the main color (white) on two singles and a twin all the same day. I slept quite well that night, a little sore the next day though :D
That is pretty cool Brian.
I have painted a few smaller ones myself. Mostly was touch up. Nose cones, leading edges, cowlings, and my least favorite, landing gear wells. A lot of masking and like you said, sore as hell the next day. :)

When I worked at Boeing, loved going into the paint buildings and watching the process.

Is that a giant spray booth?
Large empty hangar with some exhaust fans makes a good spray booth...
