Damn it, that stings. WTF is it with fluo lights, or the ballast that retains and still shocks you at the plug in HOURS after its been unplugged? This is just a 2 lamp 48" portable.

I am getting ready to replace the ballasts in 2 of my lights. Are you saying the ballasts retains juice?

if it use a "ignitor" ( capictor) it will retain a charge. its really high volts but almost no amps... it just hurts. if you let it sit a few days it will discharge.

I guess I'll take the whole fixture down so I don't fall off an 8' ladder. Thanks guy's.
