Sweet car. Congrats. The 55-57 Bel Aire's are some sweet ass cars. Then there is the 58 and 59 Impalas in that era too. Some very beautifully finished cars.

I agree on the 56, Im a big fan of the 55 and 56 over the 57 although all are nice! I think just the over all look of this car fits my personality really well, and If I was gonna build it from scratch this is exactly how it would look if I did it myself! Too bad I just bought a new cadillac CTSV too, ouch! Oh well I guess you cant go wrong with new and old muscle!!:D

Nice.
My father in law is almost done with his complete restoration of a 57 Chevy convertible. It is super sweet. It is Porsche maroon.
You will see it at Bob's in Burbank if you hang there. he is a regular and has about 4 cars he takes there for the hot rod nights.

I did not intend to cause you any stress, just this friend asked me if I knew of any Bel Air's for sale, then he sent me the pic of the one he won on ebay and his description. He is meticulous and has been into hot rods since the early 50's in the south bay.
His evaluation may not be relevant.
My friend just sent this, it sounds like he liked your car ....
Boy what a small world. This 56 was parked just in front of the 57 we looked at. Its the same guy selling both cars. This guy also had lots of other cars. The 56 was owned by a guy named Deuce McAillistar a car dealer in Mississippi , anyway that's we were told. The car was sold but still in the guys shop. We asked about buying it.
