So I've just finished rebuilding a 2.8L V6 for my girlfriend's Blazer...
I've got it installed in the truck and running. However, I have a pretty major oil leak right where the oil filter adapter meets the engine.
There is a gasket in there, but I put it on dry.
Can someone tell me how I can fix this? Am I supposed to seal the oil filter adapter gasket?

If there is not supposed to be an o-ring, and it is just a paper/fibre gasket, get a new one, and COPPER COAT it before instalation.

Actually...it doesn't take an O-ring.
However, where I focked up was by not removing all of the old gasket material. Created enough of a gap for a major leak.
Got it fixed today and broke the motor/cam in. She runs great.
