Lots of choices, but I agree with the Alpine PDX. Small footprint and stackable, don't get too hot, and aren't too power hungry.

this is the one you are talking about right?
the 150x4 is $699.00 and the 1000x1 is $799.99 though. My buddy owns an al and eds in escondido ca. hes got 6 of them in the back of his expo. they look sick when they are stacked up.

Cant go wrong with the Alpine PDX
(what amp to use with out breaking the bank)
If you only want to use one amp then I would go with the Autotek 8000.5 at about $520.00.Need to know what speakers and sub you have in order to know if it has enough power for your system.

I don't know if it's still available, but Directed use to make a really powerful 5 channel amp.... JBL probably has the best bang for the buck and it's fairly reliable.

Frank just put the AutoTek in my sons Daytona diving 2 12's, 2 6X9's and a pair of 6" rounds. He loves it and it has plenty of power for me, toomuch actualy and he's right here in Havasu, Car Toyz. NSF
