What kind of engine paint do you recommend? I just don't want to use ordinary rattle cans on it.

I use "rattlecans" :D on mine and it works fine as long as the blocks nice and clean before you start.

I use Rustoleum on mine as well... when it was in the shop, it ran though the vat three or four times and most the paint stayed on... :D

Yeah, I think it's good, wish it would dry quicker though, but I guess that's why it stays on so good!...

I would{do) use the spray cans. The automotive paints you use with a gun tend to bubble and crack off in big chunks. Powder coating is a little more durable(and pricy), but when it cracks it comes off in chunks too. I like the spray can engine paints as well as anything we have ever tryed, and it is quick and easy to do spot touch-ups with. We have best luck with light coverage, if you pile it on real thick it tends to flake off, and then when you do a touch-up there is a paint "step" insted of a smooth blend.
