sleekcraft tx-19, anyone ever owned or raced 1?

a family member is goin after a sleekcraft tx-19 tommorrow and i'm searching for info on the boats, keep coming up with nothing on searches.have you guys ever herd of a gullwing sleekcraft? the guy told us its 18 sleekcraft tx-19 and i never knew there was 1.don't want my unk to buy something that may have keel issues or be alot different than the y.bloods. anybody's know of these hulls or have seen 1 run?thanks tom

Sleekcraft NEVER built a gullwing. They built a modvp tunnel for a while it was sold as two different models, one was an Aristocrat, the other was the SST. The SST was a racing model that had a lake version, it was used for both jet and ob. The ob did pretty well, they have a tendency to pack a little too much air and a fair amout blew over... Nescher moved on to bigger boats and then sold the co.
I THINK you may be looking at a SCORPION, they were sold out of Apache Junction AZ. The molds are now in Indiana I beleive and are still called SCORPION. They sold both a TX-19 (GULLWING) and a TX-20 (Picklefork) both tunnels, copies of the Youngbloods... Ran pretty well, if its a SCORPION you should be fine...
the above is the best to may memories, a few years/beers have passed since then, so any errors, sorry...:D

He might have a bogus pink slip from a sleekcraft, alot of race boats didn't have a pink, my calif perf. tunnel dosn't have one

I'm with Jim. I noticed the boat earlier in the week and it is a TX-19, but I'm fairly certain Sleekcraft never made one.... especially during the year the model was advertised to be. It is probably OK, but my opinion is they used the title off an old Sleekcraft. A positive twist... is the boat may be newer year model than advertised.

he's on hiw way back with the boat, i'll get the numbers offa it tommorrow and take some better pics of it to post.he got it for 3k with boat cover.got the scoop and spare split bowl for another 100.00, not a bad deal.unk says it needs tlc but was what he wanted.
