...what is it with jet boaters being against having lights on their boat? Personally I think they make the boat look more like a boat, but that's just me.

Maybe it is unsafe to boat at night when your boat is jet powered.....or less reliable???

I don't really run it at night though. I use em at dusk when the water on the local lakes is the best for going fast. Or if you stay at the local hangout a little too late and need to make it back to the ramp legally, they're nice.

My thoughts exactly. Plus, I thought it was illegal to run full tilt at night anyway.

its your boat. i`d put a bulldog hood ornament off a mack truck on the deck if i wanted to. if you like it, thats all that matters. do`nt worry about what others think.

Oh I wasn't worried about that...I was just curious as to why other people don't like 'em, that's all.

I think my flush-mount bow light is VERY clean-looking. The 2 pounds it weighs (solid stainless steel) I'm sure costs me .2mph tho.
My stern mount only sticks up 1/4 inch also.
I get out at nights, not often, but especially to watch July 4th fireworks while floating.
