Barron Sprint question

A buddy of mine found a Barron Sprint in OC, a backyard monument under a tarp. It has an FE in it, which is cool for me.
Should I buy the thing? Is is worth a couple grand? I'm going to LA Friday, need some advice.

Sometimes you can find real gold in old boats. Several years ago I saw an old flatty for sale in Arizona for $2500 that had a 427 cross bolt FE Ford in it.
Do you think the swap meet will have much of a turn out it being SB Sunday and all ???
