Hot Spots in Florida?

I'm a new boat owner in Orlando Florida looking for new places to cruise. I just bought a 2006 Monterey 248LS Bowrider. Over all 26.7 300HP... I go to Indian Rock beach & the ST. Pete area a lot. They have a lot of Restaurant you can dock at and small Island to stop and hang at and boat slips and hotels that have large enough parking for boat trailers.
Any other Suggestion?

There is a poker run this Saturday on the Lake Harris chain in Lake County. It’s not to late to register! We are raising money for the tornado victims in Lake Co. Here is a link to the web site http://www.lakeharrisrun.com. Come on out and you will meet a lot of local boat owners.
We go to disappearing island at Ponce Inlet a lot just to hang out. If the weather is good tomorrow we will be there:D .

Hey Guys,
As mentioned above run is approx 50 miles, but there are several parts of the lake that we are not explorening and the run could easily be extended if you wanted.
Should be good time, with a little bit of everything showing up. 22 Classics to 39V's and Cats. We are expecting about 20-25 boats. A decent size for our first event.

A hot spot in Daytona would be 'Disappearing Island' located just east of Ponce Inlet. On a nice weekend plan on going kinda early, it can really pack'em in, also it's gone, come high-tide. Alotta the big-boys show up there. We have a Donzi 22 Classic we like to ride up to Matanzas Inlet in Flagler, about an hours' cruise, it's a nice ride.

Yes it is near Fort Desoto. You can get there in a few minutes. We also go to Beer Can Island Near Apollo Beach in Tampa Bay. LOTS of boaters. Join The site in my signature. We have get togethers all the time. I am a moderator on the site. Lots of fun and lots of good people!!!
