The recent thread about this sparked my interest a little. Lets say that I am running 8.5 compression and 9 lbs of boost on a Vortech, intercooled. What kind of realistic gains could I see, if any, from running some water/meth??? What kind of boost would I be able to run safely on 91 octane @ 5k ft elevation?

Just running meth injection with your current setup wont give you any magical numbers. The whole idea behind most any intercooler is you can increase the boost and timing while running the intercooler and thats where you get the HP increase. By the way I have one for sale if your interested.

on your set-up, i'm reading that you can run full 36 degrees and at least 15lbs with w/methanol injection.these kinds systems were made for your type of charger man, you'll gain alot of power from it compared to us roots guys.

You can ditch your innercooler and inject the water/meth after the charger. You might want to check out some of the WI forums. http://waterinjection.forumup.com/index.php?mforum=waterinjection&sid=604e3ad13680f916b99752b37f41898c/ http://www.alcohol-injection.com/forum/ http://www.snowperformance.net/forum/

Can you run the injection in line with the intercooler??? I like the security of having the intercooler, even though I would like a better one:D .

Sure you can still use the innercooler. I would run the injector just before the intake manifold. You running a carb or EFI?

Here is a little pic...only thing different now is the fuel pump.

I would drill and tap a aluminum 1 inch carb spacer for the nozzles. Run it under the box you have.

Simple as that:D ??? Would there be any other way of mounting it? Right now my hatch rest directly on top of the carb box. I would like to stay away from a scoop if possible.

Here is a picture of the injectors in a NOS plate. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c187/2NDTYM/5.jpg ReH You can install the nozzles anywhere after your charger.

i'm sold on the kits, i'm gonna drill and tap my carb plate for the blower for nozzles, run 36 degrees of timing at full boost, and when i run outta washer fluid, i'll turn down the msd btm box i just ordered to prevent detonation offa the methanl injection.
who's got the cheapest good kit that i can just have boost turn on at 3-4psi and stay on from there? i want a simple kit, no variable controler to get wet or shake-till-it-breaks.
if i'm runnin dual sideways mounted 4150's will i have to have 2 nozzles under each carb or 1 on the frt. barrels side under each carb?

I have a kit with a carb spacer plate set up for 2 nozzles. Comes with a adjustable boost switch and resoivior all lines and solenoids make offer. Mike1-951-534-3515
