I can get the teloscopic drive line gaurd for a V drive? I belive it is 5" in diameter. Im would like to buy it direct from pipe supply instead of the huge boating mark up from like eddie mareine ect. Can anyone point me in the right direction

By the time you run around to the steel supply place pay for the cuts and hopefully find the REMS in the length then have it chromed its cheaper to buy it from a marine supply! Unless you like RAW black oxide steel!

If you are looking for aluminum hold on to your socks when you get the bill, the last one we did out of 6061 ended up costing about $14/lb for the raw material from Tube Service Co., it was around $400 in material alone. But in my opinion there is nothing that looks better as a drive-line guard than an aluminum telescoping model.

Just get a piece of aluminum pipe and cut it on a tablesaw, till you have two half pieces. Than you get a small flat strip of aluminum and have it welded on the inside of one of the half pieces. Next you run button head bolts through the sides. I say like 8 per side. I wish I had a picture to show.
