The Skywalk in the Grand Canyon is completed and may open this month. $25.00 to walk out 4,000 feet above the floor of the famous gorge. Not for the squeemish...

Yeah, um no thanks. Stayed at a house in Cabo with a glass bridge up on the 3rd floor to the master suites and I wasn't crazy about walking across that and it' was only 25' or so to the ground, and I'm not even afraid of heights, just not keen on the glass thing. ;)

I was reading their website a few weeks back. That glass is like 4 or 5 inches thick.
I can't wait to go try it, I'll be that idiot out at the apex jumping up and down :D:D

Here's a link to one of the sites.......http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_grand_canyon_skywalk.htm
Thing is designed to hold 72 million tons and an 8.0 quake, I'll trust it.

I'm sure it's rated to hold it, but the glass thing just doesn't work well with my mind. Been 80' up in a boom with an expanded metal floor and that didn't bother me. The glass... not so much. :)

I'm not particularly fond of glass elevators, although some voyer sex in them is fun :D:D
.
This skywalk should be interesting, its funded by a Las Vegas Casino. They decided on this attraction vs. putting a big Casino on the reservation since most tourist in that area do not stay for more than a day.

I would rather hang out in a glass roofed bar looking up at the ladies on the walk way any day;):D:idea:
Pretty cool idea but it dosen't seem like you get alot for $25.00 (they better not have a time limit;) )

I heard that out on the end they've got holes so you can pee off the skywalk. I'd pay to do that!!! :D
