I have been irritated for some time on this and today just have had it.I can honestly say does not matter what town I`ve visited in the past several years have experienced this same "Wonderful" opportunity to experience someone elses enjoyment, although I did not want, ask.or enjoy. There is getting to be strict noise enforcement on boat, auto, and other so called disturbing the peace or other law terms.I guess have no other choice but live by it as out of my control.I will now ask you people how many times have you been sitting at a light or driving down a street etc. and have a car approach and you hear his selection of noise for the day from a block or more away. The real deal here is not only hear but little mr.hat on crooked has it using all 75,000 watts to be sure everyone for as far as possible will hear his B.S.I find it irritating, invasive, rude and possibly unsafe.I ask if this is not disturbing the peace what is it.

There may have been a misunderstanding,I have no problem with volume, just in public or where no one else asked for it or volume:) Now Plaster I hope you will be able to absorb and comprehend this next part but honestly have no confidence.I`ll go slow I.Q. and GPA almost always go hand in hand then those most are related directly with place in life. When driving down the freeway in the "Ole `74 Chevy PU drinking good cold Old Milwaukee and are looking around and see all the great cars and suv`s don`t be mistaken they are listening to music most likely loud, but their vehile is so well constructed you could not hearLOL.Please smile at them they are the ones who need people to plaster the "NEW HOME":D

I always get a kick out of how these kids advertise their multi-dollar stereos to all the theives prowling the streets....

i have had "loud" stereos since i was a teen. it only took 1 close call with a fire truck for me to learn to turn it down. i think it's also a respect thing. you dont need to pull up on a nice day blasting "bang that p@@sy bi2TCH" music while a family is right next to you. i also drive a lifted truck and at stop lights i turn my headlights off if im behind a car. once again it goes back to the respect thing.
well except when dealing with that trouble maker jordy:D

Me too. In fact, I don't even care to upgrade a stereo beyond factory anymore because it's just not worth it.

I agree. It has been awhile since I had a cite book, and I can't remember the specific CVC section, but it is an infraction in Ca. to have the audio system at a volume where it can be heard, 100 (I think) feet away.
Most states have such sections nowadays.
More cops are writing it out here in the country than before. I like loud clear music as much as the next person, I just don't feel like have the right to make you listen to it three cars away, or three blocks away. People get pissed because "they" are getting hassled while exercising their "rights".
I have another take on it.
I think it is a shame that we have had to start writing laws to teach folks common courtesy.
Apparently, it ain't as common as it once was.
But that is just my opinion.

Isn't it also an option, the officer can IMPOUND the offending vehicle? If it is, I wish they would. Maybe these ass clowns would learn a little respect....MP

MP, I don't know the answer to that ?
I know that multiple offenders get special treatment by the judicial system.
I can see where some officers in some situations might see the need to impuond the vehicle as evidence until the case is adjudicated.

CVC 27007. No driver of a vehicle shall operate, or permit the
operation of, any sound amplification system which can be heard
outside the vehicle from 50 or more feet when the vehicle is being
operated upon a highway, unless that system is being operated to
request assistance or warn of a hazardous situation.
This section does not apply to authorized emergency vehicles or
vehicles operated by gas, electric, communications, or water
utilities. This section does not apply to the sound systems of
vehicles used for advertising, or in parades, political or other
special events, except that the use of sound systems on those
vehicles may be prohibited by a local authority by ordinance or
resolution.

Jesus man.. If your gonna try to insult someone, especially going the IQ route.. You might try to make the post legible? Maybe try adding a space behind the periods, and not leaving out some words in certain sentances.. I.E. this next part but honestly have no confidence.I'll go slow I.Q.

3 daytona, ya had me at the first post when you described similar events and times where I, too, have been aggravated by a white-trash dude's rap distortion from his crap stereo.
But ya lost me when ya played the Condescending Card, while writing and typing incoherently, and having us believe you were more intelligent than most. The slamming Plaster Dave was uncalled for, as he was JUST KIDDING.
Smart people will be able to discern your intelligence quite quickly, by the level of your ability to not come off as an arrogant jerk, to people who are only having simple fun.

Neither is sense, should be uncommon sense and uncommon courtesy these days.
