My votes .Jeff Smith to take the win in the 9.50 bracket he has the place your bet boat running very consistent. Now if he could only cut a light. Prigmore for the 10.00 bracket the old guy always wins he is the man to beat in that class. I will also predict Steve westerfield should win the TAF class. If it runs as good as it looks and sounds it should haul the mail.Good luck to all later, stevo

Hey BP. Keep in mind NJBA is the group with 9:50 bracket, You would have to switch back and forth between 9:50 NJBA and 10:00 IHBA. Or are you not going to run IHBA. Not that I want you in the 10:00 competeing with us. But it would not be the same. We are looking forward to running against you. You are the one to gun for, without you, who? To win the 10:00 bracket would not feel like much of a challenge.

very true, and don't forget sam v, and if phil sparks could come back, perhaps mike fry... and kenny keeps threatening to come test for april. there are some very tough competitors in this class, IF they are still running 10s - new year, you never know. sounds like jeff won't be with us, which hurts. i'll just say that it would be good to see some numbers in the class.

new tech meeting at the lagoon ramp ramp Friday at noon for all of those who stated that they were interested. I will be there with Don Jones to go over a few boats & interview to make sure that the indivuals are qualified and know what they are getting themselves into.
To answer your question more directly, yes, there will be people to tech boats this weekend, hopefully nothing has changed and you will still be able to assist.

Morn BP ! Hows all with you ? FYI I think Mike is going to enforce the rope deflector rule this year ( being if you drag a rope across the top of the gunnel , will the deflector pick it up ) , and also the bilge pump thing. I think one more was mandatory skid pants in all open boats 11.99 and faster. Am I on the right track ??? Looking forward to seeing all you guy's at Red Bluff. "HOWLER" #439 Jim

hey jim, you stepping up this year? :D
njba rules don't currently require a bilge pump, but do require ballistic shorts for all open boats. as far as the rope deflector, the njba requirements are pretty clear in the rule book. i understand what mike's doing, and don't necessarily disagree with the method, but to enforce it, the method should be described in the rule book so people know ahead of time. they can drag a rope across mine all they want, and it won't catch anything except the seat. i've seen first hand what happens when the deflector doesn't deflect properly, and it can be ugly.
i believe in having a bilge pump, as it saved me from sinkin several years ago. i'd hesitate to run without one. mike doll almost sunk at chow last year, and wouldn't have come close if he had one.
see ya at rb..
