If you start really looking at homes the price does not seem out of range.
I hear all these great deals but when I look it is not there.
I person up the street in Havasu just sold his house that was 5 years old with a pool and fences for $425K. Location, lot size, and view can swing the price big time.

I'm in the same NICE area on Bamboo Dr near you. As said before a little bit over priced for the market right now. I think the low $300k is more reasonable. But you never know. It is a great and quiet area.:)

Have you shopped Havi recently? I've got one 1900 sq ft with a bit more garage and alot more in upgrades for 415, I'd say he's in the ballpark.

Theres a difference between asking price and whats selling. You can get a 1700 sq ft house in some nice areas of so cal now for 350-375k. There is NO way havi's real estate is worth as much as so cal. Foreclosures in cali are at an all time high, home prices in cali have dropped which means prices in HAVASU will drop even more. There will not be a real estate agent on here that disagrees with this statement.

I can't even find a decent place for under $600k in my area. And thats for 1000 sq.ft. homes.

Of course the greater LA/OC area will be more but im talking about inland, were there are still jobs, or atleast the ability to commute to them. corona/elsinore, murrieta/temecula, you CAN now get a 1700 sq ft house for 350-375k....and if its in elsinore you'll have a lake view!!! Seriously, for those thinking about selling there havasu pad better do it quick cause theres 3 things working against you. They are: interest rates, gas prices, and the over supply of brand new homes sitting vacant in the inland so cal area in which builders are slashing prices which is causing the used homes in those areas to drop in value. If gas is $4 a gallon you wont see as many people using thier vacation homes in Havasu as much(to expensive to drive thier and pay for gas in the boat)not to mention there gas bills going up at home). When interest rates rise all the helocs people used to finance thier river pad will go up as well. Sit back and see, if im wrong, and prices go up a year from now i will admit it. If im right, i will be buying another havasu house as an investment in a year at a discounted price.

Well my job is here and theres no way I'm giving it up. Unfortunately I'm just gonna have to pay the price for something here. Such is life.

djunkie. Are we in the same area of Havasu? North end water side?:)
I think I have the lowest priced house in the area and yes I think it is the nicest unless you are in the Refuge or golf course areas but thats 4 times as far to the launch ramps. Mines not listed but for the right price!!

I think the Havasu homes will continue to be ok with all the baby boomers leaving the San Diego, LA, Ventura areas looking for areas to get more for the money, less crowds, and recreation.

My Havasu house is actually on the south end. The $600k I was talking about is for a house here in Ca.

I don't see it happening....Havi was very busy this weekend and I paid $3.70 for gas in Barstow.
There is still new construction all over Havi. Still more affordable then OC (atleast any area I would live in).
BTW--I am yet to see a spam that you do not have something negative to say.
