View Full Version : Gen VI 502 long block for sale

Gen VI 502 long block, 502/502, Alum heads have been ported and milled, roller rockers, Milodon jet boat oil pan, comp cam .625 lift, cast alum polished valve covers with slope for exhausted risers, engine has approx. 25 hrs on it. Before firing up the engine it was disassembled and all clearances were checked and was re-torqued. I had it dyno'd with stock cam, stock Dual Plane intake manifold and 850 vc holley and the results were 540hp at 5,200 rpm and 600 trq. at 4,200 rpm. I haven't dyno'd since cam change, rocker arm change, single plane Dart manifold and BIGS 950 HP DP change. Horse power should be around 600. I have purchased another boat and I no longer need the 502. $6,000 OBO, you pay shipping........

Some questions that have come up:
The engine is $5,500 for a long block which includes milodon 7" deep pan so it will fit in a jet boat and Teague valve covers. It does not include the intake manifold, carb, starter, dist, water pump or any other accessories.
The work done to the engine:
Tear down and re-assemblied and torque to specifications-$750
Head work and milling-$800
Comp cam hyd. roller cam-$300
Alum. roller rockers-$275
Milodon pan-$360
Teague valve covers-$325
All of the above is part of the long block deal.
If you want an almost complete motor I can supply the original intake, 850 VC holley, and starter for $300. Just remember these are not new but work fine. I do not have a distributor.

a Dart single plane manifold port matched to the above-$275
A BIGS HP 950 DP Carb-$450
The original Z502/502 hyd roller cam-$150
2-Gen 6 stock oil pans-$50 ea.
Of course the buyer will pay shipping costs.
