I looked on PD, but only see the standard sized handle. Does anyone make a shorter version, or is my only option to have it cut and welded ? FYI, I have a stringer mount PD. It's on the left side of my left stringer: only place it'd really work on my boat. It's about a fingers width below my steering wheel. Too close for me.

That's gonna make it push harder. :)
With that fancy boat, maybe you just wanna go hydraulic?

Just have it cut.....placed at the angle or position you want......then have it welded in that position.
Jack did this for me. The handle was in a position where it would be a nuisance. So I figured out where I wanted it and Jack cut it, Tig'd it up, ground, cleaned and polished it. Works well!
This is the only pic I have of it.........:D Sorry it's not a little more close up (but you can see where the stringer is and the angle of the handle.).

Thanks Mike. I kinda thought that was the way I'd have to go.
Malcolm, I removed the Hyd diverter, I prefer a manual unit.

some people just use a bracket to space the handle away from the stringer and more to the side of the driver instead of in front between the legs. i made something like this for toddnjuzz here on the boards. maybe he has a pic of it. or you can get the foot throttle bracket rex sells.

Oh, can't say I blame you, I like the manual control too.
