I use to spend a lot of time at McIntyre. Miss that stretch of water. I have a V-drive now so I don't know how much I'll get to venture down there anymore.

McIntyre is where we had the huge outings every year for like 20 yrs straight. Can't wait to get out there this year with all the new toys, tons of memories there. Favorite place on the river for me...
BTW, any discounts for us ***boaters??

I wouldn't with an outdrive. Water levels vary daily.... I've seen plenty of wrecked outdrives from shallow areas.
Just my two cents.

Make sure you bring a tow rope you will need it to get back to the ramp. Your boat is too deep to run any part of the river around Bylthe. The sand bars are hell for I/O's.

Well, we've committed to helping the spring break camp kids with fun rides... Wish we still had the Tahiti. Maybe we'll just end up being one big floatie if there's too many sand bars to contend with.
We'll check it out with the jet skis.

I hate to rain on your parade. I can appreciate the goodwill you are trying to bestow but that boat is too damn big for that part of the river. Yes there are many sandbars.... The river is vary narrow in spots & extremely narrow when the sandbar has choked off 3/4 of the river width. I'm sorry to say with the draft of your boat without bringing the I/O into play you will end up beaching your boat, or tearing up the outdrive.
It will not be safe to navigate for you or other people who are sharing that stretch of the river with you. Turning that boat around on a narrow river will be dangerous. Trying to get the boat on / off the trailer will require you to back your truck so far down the ramp the cab of your truck will be under water. Look at the pic's taken at the boat ramp, you can see how shallow the water is.....
Please consider Havasu, Mojave or Mead.

I don't know from the looks of the pic i'd say he doesn't even need water to run!!! I say he must be good to go since the boat doesn't even get wet!! :)

It will not matter what we tell them. I just hope they leave that boat on the trailer I would hate to see someone get hurt. I hope they remember. We learn from our mistakes.

McIntyre Park is a killer place to boat. Great conditions for our weekend. I hope Jeff and Buddy were ok with our group buying so much ice cream. The water level was up and we had a great time.... still want to buy a jet... like my buddy Jeff's Eliminator :D:D
