There in NO secret about the pricing;) I spoke with Greg on friday and told him I was stuck in traffic. He not only stayed later 45 minutes but he quoted me a smoking price! He charged me $180 for the headers and $50 for the T-Ram. I told him to be expecting alot of out of state customers with those kind of prices!!!!!!
He is also going to be matching alot of other parts to eddie marine's fusion coat blue. He can do candy over chrome and polished to get the same effect. Or if you dont have the part polished then he can lay down a coat of "near chrome" and then apply the candy to achieve the same effect!
My trailer is going in next for only $400!!!!!!!!!! I cant find anyone to get even close to that! Once the trailer is coated then it will be going to the painter for ALOT of candy flames throughout the whole trailer;)
Here is the contact info. Tell him that Michael(the boat guy) sent you. Greg is a cool azz guy. This wouldnt be possible if it wasnt for "TX-19" from here on the boards. He referred me to them;)

You're supposed to polish the intake before you coat it !! Then it will be smooth. The other thing is that the ceramic coating RETAINS heat. That's great for exhaust but not an intake. Sorry to pi$$ on your parade!!:D

Actually "jethot" is around 325-350:eek: Hell, you can almost do 2 sets of headers @ affordable for that price!!!!!!!

My last T-Ram was polished before it was coated and it came out very nice;) I have also heard that ceramic coating retains heat but dont know how valid that it. After I caoted my ram last year it was still ice cold when I ran her:idea:
If the ceramic coat retains heat then why do headers cool so fast??????????

From what I've heard the ceramic coating will help reduce heat in this case creating a colder intake charge.
One thing to watch out for on that coated manifold are those stupid beads from the bead blasting process. They like to hide in the holes where the top plate bolts on. I've also found them in the holes that are drilled and tapped for nitrous.

Yeah, I found several beads in the headers. The t-ram is highly visible so thats not an issue;)
My last ram frosted before and after the ceramic coating. Its kinda funny to see your intake as cold as your beer:D

Not to sound like a dick, cause I think coated is much more manageable than polishing all the time. But, is it just the pics? or are they a little spotty in some areas?

You are right Don. You do see spots. You have to rub some polish over the items when they come back. They also have a milky white film on them. All this rubs off very easy. "Jethot" will tell you to do the same thing;)
I was really impressed with the time that they had them back. It only took 2 days:eek: I was expecting a week......

Hey 396,
That is a great price on the headers. Up here in North East a set of headers to do is about 350.00. It might be cheaper for me to send them out to AZ and back to CT for that price.

the beads are how the ceramic gets polished, the ceramic is sprayed, then baked, then put into a large tub filled with the beads and a solution, the tub is connected to a vibratory unit that causes the beads to shake around and polish the part, without this step, the ceramic looks like grey primer.
