WHERE DO YOU STOP!! First I was going to just re-plate the cav plates. So I took them off. Well when the plates are off mite as well polish the turn buckles. It's also a good time to put in a bigger water pick-up and force feed the engine. So I take off the timing cover to drive the fuel pump off the cam. Mite as well replace the timing chain with a new one while I'm in here. This will be much easier with the engine out! So I pull the engine. Next I get the cav hardware back, it looks so good and the engine is out so.... mite a well re-plate all the hardware..... At this point there is no turning back mite as well fix the kick panel under the dash off to Pat's fibreglass. Under the dash looks good now I need to buff the floors. About 6 hours into buffing the floors I start thinking why the hell did I start this project. Now the boats looking good I can't put it on a junkie trailer.... new SS fenders, tires, polish wheels, re-paint, and replace carpet.

I remember years ago I spent hours polishing my cavitation plate on a Sanger. I dropped it in the water all proud of my fine polish job; by the days end it looked like it was out in the elements for 20 years. I guess it is best to shoot a clear over it but how long will that last?

Yep that song is about my life right now. Only itÂ’s not the boat that holding the string on my sweater while I walk away. The nice thing is I know the boat will always be there for me. And the other toys.
John Force Eulogy to Eric Medlen
"One time Eric had girl troubles, and he came to me. I walked him out in the shop and said, 'Look at that car, Eric. That car will always love you. It'll fix you when you need fixing. I said it will always protect you, and I was wrong. For that, I'm sorry, Eric."

Yes I had them polished and then spray painted the inside. They are 13" and it was hard to find low profile tires for them. I can get you the make tire if you need to buy some.
