http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u25/boatgonewild/Randysboatpics068.jpg
Now heres the left side motor mount, check that spacing, it always slide on that side.http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u25/boatgonewild/Randysboatpics069.jpg
What do you think of putting a sleve over the slide bracket, cut the perfect distance between stringer mount and where it starts to slide in slide mount. This way if it pulls tight again the new sleve will stop it.

Ditch those motor mounts. Get either a 4 point system of a rail kit. I dont know jack shit about that motor mount deal.

Are those mounts solid,(holes egged out) or are they designed to slide?
Darrell.

If they are designed to slide, just adjust them to the correct alignment and weld those babies solid. Never have to adjust them again.

 Those mounts look like they would stress the stringer. Junk them for a rail kit.

Your mounts are similar to mine but I have a 3 point mount set up, is the back of your motor(bellhousing) attached to the pump. I'm bettin its not. http://www.***boat.com/ubb/graemlins/idea_2.gif

Yes the rear of the motor is supported by the jet, and the fronts a 4 points with slides its all one piece that run under the pan.. here is another shothttp://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u25/boatgonewild/Randysboatpics074.jpg

How far off of center allignment is it?.. It appears you have not loosened the clamps from the 1" round stock and tried to pry it back to center. if it is only off 3/4" or so I think you are alright as far as allignment goes.
They used those mounts on 10's of thousands of boats succesfully. I'm a little more concerned that the position has changed where the motor support plates bolt to the stringer. All that style of mounts I have are drilled for 4 through stringer bolts. You only have 2 bolts at the bottom and that is not really distributing the load even. It looks like alot of added stress to the stringers.
When I replaced my olds with A BBC I had to weld larger plates to the outside of the plates you have bolted to the support on the inside of the stringers. They sat up to high as the BBC motor mounts were lower on the olds. I could not use a rail kit as the floor covers the stringers and was not level from transom to the front of the bilge.
You are able to add a rail kit and 4 point mounting system. They are far superior to a 3 point set-up. No stress on the pump and less side stress on the stringers. Save a few bucks for that if you are going to keep the boat. Otherwise just slide the motor over after looseng the clamps.

B .G. W heres the pic I told you about (son ,Josh's Boat 600 hp with 3 pt mount ).But.... after a second look your "pins" are bent (sagged inward and down) so much its only a matter of time before you have bigger problems binding U joints etc .Also the "steel reinforcement brackets" on the stringers suggest the stringers might be a little "soft" ,contributing to the motor sag. There may be some thing you can do to temporarily fix this let me know if i can help you Tom

if you had a chevy you could lighten that boat up 'cause you wouldn't need the tools.
