It is a very nice boat. Do you know alot about Biesemeyers ? It is not a BEZER it is an early Biesemeyer. A Bezer was built in the late 80's or early 90's by Ray Brown and is a Biesemeyer that is six inches narrower than normal. They were built for SS racing on long courses, the narrow boat would have less wetted surface and be faster with less stability.
The current Biesemeyer (Revenge) (D'Cucci) (Daytona) etc. depending who splashed them, started in late 1977 which is the boat that is currently used by most SS, PS, and K racers.
The boat that is for sale is an early Biesemeyer, slightly different bottom, and the deck is different. If you look at the pictures the splash rail on the deck has a notch in the sides just behind the driver, which is what tells the difference between this and the current race boats. Also the back corners of the deck are not as round as the 77 and later boats. This is still a great handling boat, but it wouldn't make a competitive race boat by todays standards.
For nostalgia boats the 72, 73, 74, eighteen foot long deck biesemeyers are pretty rare and would be a nice collectible item. They have a bottom similar to the current race boats execpt the deck is 10" longer. Smaller cocpit and less room inside. The famous Julian Pettingil K-50 angel fire and cold fire were these long deck boats. If you want to know alot about Biesemeyers you could call Bergeron Marine in Phoenix Az. Phil and Brian have rigged these boats for years. Also Scott (126 driver) on these boards is pretty familiar with biesemeyers. I spent a long time finding the 1978 SK boat that I restored, if I can be of any help give me a call 928-667-4129

Dwayne Bolton splashed that Biesemeyer and called it "Spitfire", Larry D has the last one made, I do believe!!....

Bolton's Spitfires were wider and bigger than this Biesemeyer. The rear deck on the spitfire is shorter. Pete Kimball that puts on the Park Moabi V-drive trip has a beautiful example of a Spitfire.

SK 48 I have a 75 biesemeyer but there is no kick up on the deck beside the driver like the boat ps555 why ? The id is besemeyer and 75 year. I can trace the history back to earley 80s Was used to ski behind with a 396 runing of the nose, then sold several times and was draged raced till I got it. Planning on making a lake boat uould like more history.

You probably have the boat like the current race boats. There is some overlap on the models in those years. The notch in the deck is the way to tell the difference on the hulls like the (Hard Times) boat that is for sale. Does your boat look like the pictures of Gofast racer's Daytona ?
Do you still make whirl aways etc. I met you at Red Rock a couple years ago. I think you came to the Casino event and left you boat in Parker for a month and came back.
Measure your boat from the dash to the bow, and I will go measure mine. You might have a long deck boat. My friend's ex ski race 1973 Biesemeyer is a long deck. I really like the looks of those boats.I bet yours has fuel tanks in the hull if they water skied with it.

SK48 yes on the v drive parts, and yes I was the one at Parker, want to come back next year had a blast. From what little I know my boat is a long deck 9' I think. No there were no side tanks in it then only a stacked tank in the back. But some one cut most of the stiffeners out of the sides. (I hate that but will get it fixed) There is no holes in the deck for gas fillers. The hull is very heavy guess 800 lb. You can have a party on the deck. Thanks for your help, Hope i can help if you need it. j.j. sorry for the spelling

Gofastracer how much Billy asking for that boat. I heard 40k?Yeah, didn't get to talk to him, but I heard he would let it go for that!, after seing him run at the river(man, that was a beutiful sight!!), seems like that's a heck of a good price!!...Get some seat time in it and you could kick some serious ass with it!!, that is a winning boat!!!...It ought to be though, as much as he done to the bottom and getting the right prop, he finally got the combination together and it's one sweet deal!!!..More I think about it,the more I don't want to part with mine!, it's time for some serious HORSEPOWER!!!, Yeahhhhhh......

Dude, no apology necessary... I was just messing with you. I understand exactly where your coming from. Pictures can be VERY deceiving, because you're looking at "portions" that the individual wanted you to see. Any flaws can be covered up by simply NOT showing you a picture of that area. Like I said before, I'm sure it's worth what he's asking for it. I just know how much it will cost to get it back to Memphis, and don't want to have that much invested into it. I'm originally from Calif, and my last two boats were purchased there, and then I towed them home. GOOD LUCK!

All I know is you wishy washy people are lucky I don't have a spare $4,500 right now. If I did that boat would be mine.
I sold my Hondo (regeted it) for the same price and that guy got a good deal. This is the first boat I have seen (pics only) that looked that clean for that price.
