I'm with ya on that one Flattie exept I'm getting tired of being hassled everytime I stand on it even with water in the headers. Thought maybe I'd try something different...

Those look like they would be alot more restricitive then a set of good old louvered Bassets to me.

I understand. I just fired mine up today with the zoomies ear piercing even at idle. I have to run to sets of mufflers in my bassette headers plus water to barley pass the db reading and turn the idle down.

Hey RiverRacer:
Have you checked out the shorty mufflers from Imco Marine? They are the twist style like Bassett makes but only about 4 inches long.

They are only like $24 each or something. I love em, as the fit in my headers that are cut way short...
But, I don't care about db rating, I am just trying to pass the visual.

Yeah, I looked at those but I kinda wondered about the DB on them??, they don't look like they are too efficient from the looks of them..Where I go the visual don't mean shit, they go by DB's......

I have the bassett mufflers and they just get under the 87 db. law in AZ. they do rob power with my aplication, cost me 200 rpm. bbc w/ 8-71 10 lbs of boost. 87 db. at idle with no water going through headers. at cruse speed they are even quieter. $125.00 for a pair.
