I'm sure it wont be the quickest thing out there but I sure do like the look.
It's been a while since i've had a small boat, kind of excited.
1976 Hondo t-deck runner bottom jet
Change out the upholstery to 2 buckets, switch to chevy power and a berkley and she's done.

Damn! Congrats. That's a really nice looking boat. The black Chevelle in the background takes me back to early 70's and highschool. A buddy had one with a 427 with a super T-10 in it. Damn, did we have some fun back then......

The hull is paint but is only about a season old. look pretty good in person a few small things real nice over all. i wonder how it will ride, the bottom looks just like the v-drive but with the jet im not sure

RUFF:D . That bottom looks similar to my old Sanger Sprint. It liked a little, and I mean little but of chop. But when it got ruff I put it on the trailer. Beat the snot outta ya when the lake got busy, but she flew when the conditions were right:D
Why you pulling the Ford out ? The 460 in my Sanger had low compression heads, and still put the boat into the 70's. There's always room for one more Ford guy here :)

I dont think thats a runner bottom. Pretty sure thats a hondo pantera bottom. Ive got the same bottom on my Brendella. That hull is good to a little over the century mark I've been told.
Ive got the same pump too, but its been worked over by MPD. If I could get off my ass and finish putting the boat together Id tell you how it all worked. The boat does like a little bit of chop and is harsh in the rough.

I was hoping it was the pantera bottom, any advice on setup?.
As far as keeping this ford motor, i probably wouldn't mind hey 1968 droptop do you have any ford parts for sale

Just trying to make it make a little more power. like to pick up a dual tunnel ram with 650's, a more race style header, aluminum heads, you know the fun stuff, maybe te velocity stack injector system.

Nice looking boat Big Proppa. Goes with your whole yellow scheme. Time to punch another whole in the garage wall? Love the Chevelle. 66 or 67? I cant quite see the nose of her in the pic.

That WJ isn't much different from a Berk. Just a 5 blade impeller intead of 4. The energizer kit claims it will give it another 10%.

Unfortunately no. Its looking ike you will beat me to the water. Im scrambling now to get it done. Look under the boat, does it have a delta pad in front of the intake? I had Jeff Bennett remove mine and blueprint the bottom after I did a 4 inch setback.
All the hardware you have there is identical to what was on my Brendella. I dont recall where the ride plate was set but in stock form the boat was quick. Loved a little chop. Cant wait to get mine out there with the new power & pump. WJ is a good pump. I wouldn't waste the money on a switch to a berk.

I am redoing a 77 cole t-deck. Mine has a berkley in it. I took one ride in my buddies last year, and came home and started looking for one. That boat will suprise you, they accelerate very quick. Alot of fun to drive.

Thanks. These seats are from Corbeau. They were about 6 inches taller though. I took a gamble thinking they would be okay and when I put them in the boat they stuck out way too far. Soooo, I cut them open and shortened them and welded them back together. Good news was that the upholstery still worked for them, just had to trim the excess off the bottom. If you want to go this route let me know, I have pix of the process. Seats are about $172 each, took about a weekend to fix em up.

Big Proppa

Do you have a number where I can order them - they would fit perfect, and they are affordable, how long did it take for them to be shipped or can I pick them up somewhere
Are they the GTA Low Back?.

BrendellaJet
03-21-2007, 06:15 AM
You can get the info online at their website. www.corbeau.com. As I recall it took a week to ship. Came in one box.
Yes, I started out with the GTA low back, and as stated above, I lowered the back even more. One word of warning-if you have over a 34 inch waist, they are a tight fit...Not to mention mounting them was a pain in the ass...
