Buying a used car in Cali

Do I have to pay sales tax on a used vehicle if I buy it in Cali and then register it and use it in AZ (where I live)?
I'm ign'ant of this, so any help you have to offer, it's much appreciated!

From a private party, no Arizona Sales Tax required, just bring the signed off (notorized) title to the MVD to register it.
From a dealer you'll pay CA sales tax. Unless it's delivered to you in Arizona. Then, either you'll pay the AZ Sales tax to the CA dealer or pay the AZ sales tax when you register it at the MVD. If you paid the CA dealer, it will show on the invoice/receipt/contract.
If you paid CA sales tax, no AZ sales tax required.

Used, private party (sorry, forgot that important tidbit), pick up in Cali. So, no tax wherever, just plunck down some coin for tags and title crap and I'm good to go.
