I'm going to try and keep updated pics of the whole project. Some updates include new interior, removal of old saddle gas tanks and addition of new belly tank in ski locker, glassing of windows on the deck, new floor, paint, pretty much making it into a whole new boat. Here is the project in pics.....

Not so much me, I was up this weekend but didn't do much. Let's just say I provided plenty of moral support. :D Hopefully I'll be able to get back out next weekend. It's supposed to get turned over and the bottom worked on this week. My dad's ben putting in some serious hours on it. I'm surprised at how much has got done in such a short amount of time. It smells like Advantage boats in the garage. How have you been?
Right on bro, Lookin good!!
Been there many times my damnself,
If I lived closer I'd come lend a hand......emptying your cooler
.......oh yeah and maybe help on the boat a little :D :D :D
Forget the cooler......there's a refrigerator 15 feet away:D

I agree about the windows. It seems like the first thing non-boaters want to do is step on them. Plus those windows really dated the boat.
There should be some more pics coming soon. The boats gonna be flipped over so the bottom can get worked on.

I got a question for you. Where did your father go to have the interior re-upholstered? It looks like you guys made the wood frame how much did they charge you just for the upholstery? I am thinking about making my own seats and then sending them out to get upholstered and I am wondering if it is worth it or not.

It's a shop out in Havasu. I'm not sure what it's called. I know they usually do motorcycle seats and stuff. I think the price was around $1000. I'm not sure on that though. I'll double check and get you more info.

Sounds like your father saved himself at least $1,000 by doing the wood frames himself. When you get the interior back can you take some detailed pictures and post them? I would really like to see the quality of the work at Tammy's. A friend and I are thinking about buying a beater pontoon boat in Havasu and restoring it ourselves. I am sure that by building the frames ourselves would help the budget out a bit.

I f i remember correctly your dad bought that boat brand new, I've been on it back in the summers of 89-90, like you said small world. Don't know if your pops and my brother parted on good terms or not but look forward to seeing the finished product, my family and i have a place in needles and are always in moabi. C YA
