my blower started making knocking noise, so I took the blower off and found that the roters have hit the housing and now theres grooves in the housing. It is a 6 71 weiand. Is it possible to fix this, or do I need another blower unit.

ouch, sounds bad. you'll have trouble finding a good used 6-71 case, i've tried. there's alot of good gmc 6-71 cases floating around which can be converted using your weiand 6-71 parts.
blower gurus, what's the difference in gmc 6-71 cases and weiand 6-71 cases other than the 2 ribbed pieces that stick out on the left side, they can be machine off?
