Rode and drove my buddies 21 daytona with the whacker on it.
WOW, we were at parker and although I'd blow him out of the hole and had him by 10Mph on the top, he went over the 2.5-3' rollers WFO.
Interested in starting my research on motors, 2.4, 2.4, 300x etc. I'd like a daytona with the motor I built for the Hallett but I would not be able to insure it.
Cazy, a 21 with a 300 will run circles around my 600HP jet, but I have full coverage. The 600hp in a Daytona is much safer ride but no ins.
Thoughts on motors, set ups etc. is appreciated. Thinking about heading to the BBSP just to check out different set ups. Assuming I can get out there in the jet.
Thanks in advance...Gugs

21' boat will need either 1 3 liter based motor(300x,new 3.2 green engine) or if you want a real fast boat 2 2.5 (like 280 off shore or drag 300) engines.boat with 2 engines will be hard to insure and lots of maintenance-2.5s are race engines.a 21 with new 3.2 300 merc might make 100+ mph with good setup and prop.and get good fuel milage and run smooth.your wife wouldnt even thinks its a fast boat until you floored it

All 2.5 motors are not race motors. Put a 300 on it and just list it as a 3.2 liter motor.
