Kim, many times the year on the registration card and the actual year of the hull are two different animals. Race boats that were never registered when purchased almost never have the correct year of manufacture. Boats that have been sold to numerous buyers without registration and records at dmv are nonexistant usually are incorrect also. If in fact it is a catalina hull, it's a copy of an old hondo. If the vin can still be found on the hull, post it, or talk to the guys at CA Marine. PS... cut holes in the bottoms of those seats and use them for camping shitters. Look up restofreak on the boards for some nice hondo seats. He's in your neck of the woods.

Hopefully it hasn't been sitting to long cause that can cause the engine to sometimes have a miss due to the spark being bad. May Brodie can help you out if such a problem does exist eek!
