Hey guys since I am more of a squirt boat fella, I need some help on a sanger! I need to know where to get a new rudder (12" trailing edge style) possibly a new stuffing box. I am only gettin about 5/8" cav plate movement & need to increase. Do they make control arms longer than 2.25"? Also the control arm from the down peddle rod to the control bar is 4.25 center to center, I was told they make a curved style maybe a little shorter for more plate movement? Rexone do you sell this sort of stuff?? If anybody has any input it would be greatly appreciated! :)

There is only one length of control arm in my catalog. I would be interested in more travel as well. Rex, do you have access to a shorter version?

It is not the turnbuckle that you need. It is the Eye or spud or whatever it is called.
They make them longer and shorter to cause more or less movement of the plate. The turnbuckle connects to it.

Rex, I have 1 1/2" stainless eyelevers. If I switch to 2 1/2", can you tell me what the difference in plate travel will be? I have eight turnbuckles, think the longer eyelevers might break off?

Thought about that but, then it won't be symetrical. I made my turnbuckles out of 3/4" hex stainless and tapered them to 3/8" threads. Haven't broke these yet. I can see four bolt pads in the future. Looking for more down, got that figured out, and I'm doing one legged squats. Also the last job at the machinst cost me $175, but Tom fixed me right up with a new shaft. Your engine looks great. How much more power than last year do ya think?
