Well if these pics dont post then there goes another few hours gone trying to figure this posting picturev nightmare out.
Ok,
I am giving the boat a major going through, and while I have it upside down I am wondering if a ride plate (molded into the pickup housing) is gonna make a big difference from the Place diverter ride plate.
Also if you can see in the pic take a look along the top of the "V" and the pickup is a little lower than the "v"and the intake edge is rounded. Could I mold a ride plate into the pickup and have it even out with the hull or will it give me problems when letting off the pedal. And will sharpening up the leading edge be worth the effort. I will be getting a loader as well. By the way this is a 71 Kona,18ft. 455 olds, and on its last run I was trying out the new droop and a piston decided to poke its head out of the side of the block to check out the scenery, but it was porpoising at full throttle with the diverter up.
Unfortunately I am going with another olds (only because of all the funds going everywhere else, before the dam thing went poof) so I will be running a semi stock motor, 10-1 comp,K heads, comp marine cam, roller rockers, single 850 carb on a offy 360 manifold, and lets not forget about the E-bay special of the week TWISTIES. I have a nieghbor thats been ticking me off, and his bedroom is directly behind the boat. My new inspiration for completion. as soon as I get this photo posting thing figured out I'll post some pics of the changes.
Thanks,
John

I can't answer the plate question but I can lament the photo deal with you. I have been trying for 2 days to get my pics to pop up. Photobucket and everything. Y'know, I've hacked some major sites in past years, I don't do it anymore since I got in trouble for hacking in and changing the mail date on my tax return check years ago. But I'll be damned if I can make those pics show up.
Maybe I've lost my touch, or maybe it's a top secret procedure.

First you need to reset the intake. It's set wrong! and when you have it out, machine it for a rideplate. Now is the time. Budlight

What is wrong with it, I am thinking it sits to low in the rear (as showed) if the boat were turned right side up it would then be to high.
Would this effect the way my pump discharges? I get a massive wall of water out of the nozzle. instead of a "tuned" rooster tail mine is probably 5 feet around and no real distinct form to it.
I am re-doing the whole boat "everything" paint engine, seats, upholstery, carpet, trailer, and the thought of digging into the hull sounds a little overwhelming at this point. What is required, I put a straight edge on the keel and the front of the pickup sits flush but the rear seems to be off, is that what you are seeing as well?
