Where is the best place to stay there? Taking my wife for a little romantic getaway (as a suprise - so those that know her SHHHHHHSSHHH:D )
Neither of us have been there so I have no idea the best place to stay and fun things to do while there for a long weekend.
Thanks for the help!

Haven't been up there in years but there used to be some nice spa/resort type places up there. Google may just be your friend in this one. ;)

We have stayed here and it was really nice. We stayed in the cottages and they were right off the creek. Here are some pictures that I took a few years ago when we were there.

The other really nice place in town is called Enchantment.
Here are some pictures from LAuberge.

Yep...IMO, probably the nicest place to stay in Sedona. L'Auberge De Sedona is also nice and I think a little cheaper..but it was booked when we went.

What was cool about this place is that you are kind off off to the side away from the hotel feel. You can walk to get to the restaurants. They are on the grounds and not far away.
This was from inside the cottage. Bascially, it is one really big room with a sofa/tv area and bed area.

This was the view from the front porch.

These are all I have without posting pictures of me and the wife in them. Not my style on HB. :)

It is similar to the other one I posted as far as luxury. Only difference is that one is more in the red rocks and the other is right on Oak Creek in a little canyon.

We were just there last month..........be sure to check for highway 89A closings/delays from Flagstaff to Sedoda. There were signs all over so I guess they're doing pretty major stuff.
We are going back next month for the Hummer tours...they look cool. My GF wants too see me on a horse for some damn reason and we were there on a Sunday which is the only day they don't offer rides cuz it's a working ranch and the horses take Sunday off. So I guess we're gonna do that too.:(
The Pink Jeep tour rides look decent too but I'd rather be seen in the Hummers.:D
Beautiful scenery..........check out slide rock in Oak Creek canyon...nice there too.:)

So the one you listed is the one on Oak Creek right? If you had to choose between to the 2 for your first time there which one would you choose?

We stayed at Little America Resort in Flagstaff........Sedona is only an hour away and it's said (And I agree) that it's the most scenic drive in AZ. Take 89A North towards Oak Creek Canyon/ Flagstaff For a beautiful ride. It is going uphill though, I believe a 4000 ft difference.
The place you mention in the previous thread looks really good. I don't think you'd go wrong there. May check it out me self!
Also if you have time check out the town of Jerome(20mi)....cool ride and an old mining town/ haunted hotels and stuff. on 89A going towards Prescott.
Which way you going in?????

Yes, it is on the creek. I would think that it would be a little cooler this time of year as well, being between the moutains next to the creek.
I like the creek better, but both are very close it terms of overall satisfaction. L'Auberge really has that European feel to it. Also 1 of the restaurants is right off the creek. You could throw a stone in it, that close.
If you call there, as for a cottage closest to the creek as you can get. The porch will overlook it and that will be your view.
Just bring a small cooler for drinks, put it in the room and that will save you $5 per water at the hotel. :D Gotta keep the ghetto in there somewhere.:)
When are you planning this? What month?

I also heard to bring old jeans for slide rock..........I always seem to be there in the cool months so I haven't tried to slide. Besides, last month the creek look kinda low. I have cool pics from then but I take forever to upload pics.

Yeah.....gotta save money for the shops over there.......got a cool men's store, RichardDavid, that has some cool stuff. Dropped 300 clams in there. In the same section as the Harley Store. There's a Mexican restaurant next too it too but don't go there......it sucked.:yuk: Stick to the steak/bbq places even though they're always crowded.

Yes, This place is great. Off the beat'en track of Sedona which these days is well beat'en. SOme of the room have private hottub cabanas. There is a hiking trail the public uses that goes up and around the resort but shouldn’t be an issue as long as you don’t get a room next to that trail. Hikers can peer down on your room and hot tub. This is A+ resort. If you want something a little more casual and laid back the town home like rooms on the creek at junipine are nice too. For the resort thing Enchantment is very very nice.

I've stayed here a few times....definitely a must! I kind of ruined it last time for my husband though. It was the day Earnhardt died and I ended up crying in the room for hours.....oops:D
They have a very, very nice restaurant on the creek also, try it out, men have to wear a jacket though, very pricey and upper crusty...awesome Salmon though! Take pics, haven't been in a while I'd love to see it
