how about some pictures of what you've got? Especially if you have a set back where the hand hole splits the transom.
a pic like this would be great (nice install Steel)

I have a different setup on mine that I am working on. Brian Busby made a set for my gullwing but I opted to change them. I made them the same way but a little thicker. Ill post pics later today. Gotta go to work for a few;)

I found a pic of one that pretty close to what I'm interested in but it's a tad dark. Hammer, any chance you can take a couple of more pics from different angles? My hand hole isn't quite as far back as yours though.

That's the one thing I love about jet boats with a droop/diverter...makes it longer and makes the pump look more high tech, which I think is way cool.
I just put the diverter on my pump last night...even though I have a JC bowl which means I can't run a droop, just a diverter nozzle made it a little longer which makes the whole thing look a lot better than a standard nozzle.

why not pull your bowl, send it to MPD and have it modified? What's another couple hun to get the look you want? :)

I just made this one from a stock Berk cover. I haven't taken any pics since I trimmed and welded it up. My cleanout splits the transom, and the hole is cut so small, it didn't leave much room to make a plate.

how did that cast aluminum weld up? I've heard it's pretty difficult to do for a number of reasons.

ive welded Berkeley cast aluminum a few times with no problem. the trick is to have a clean surface and the correct alloy filler rod. use a file to clean the mating surfaces and surrounding area. and useing a tig machine with the least amount of heat needed to properly weld the peices. which isnt easy since aluminum dissapates heat very quikly. one good thing about cast aluminum is that it doesnt want to warp/distort as easy as sheet or billet.

It wasn't difficult at all. Victorfb has it pretty well covered. I blasted the edges about an inch first. Then I wire brushed where I was gonna weld right before I lit up. Biggest prob is the crappy machine I have access to at work. They do very little TIG welding here, so it isn't maintained very well. I also haven't TIG welded anything in almost 10 years, so that may have had an influence as well! :D

I cut this one out and then had it powder coated. This is on a 21 Daytona dominator/Mersch combo. Haven't been to the lake yet but it looks like it should work.27574
