I deal with Progressive on a fairly regular basis... by far the easiest to work with on insurance claims. How rates compare I don't know. I'd rather take an ass whipping before doing ANYTHING with State Farm. They will screw you coming and going... on any type of insurance and any type of claim. Progressive normally has an adjuster out the same day... had to wait three days at the longest. State Farm has put me off for weeks up to a month, and 2 months one time as they were trying to screw me out of $3000 on a claim, not good if it's Summer and you want your boat fixed, they could care less. State Farm adjusters do nothing but try to get out of paying on claims... almost every one I met are real pieces of work. It's a shame because most of the agents I know are okay standup people, but the rest of the company can blow me...http://***boat.com/ubb/graemlins/yuk.gif
This isn't a one time experience either... this is over many years, and some clown will come on here and say how great State Farm is probably, but there are very few exceptions to the rule...

Google State Farm and Katrina... a pretty good reflection on that company and how they "don't" take care of their policy holders... a lot of good reading... no different than how they handle claims with boats.

...one other thing on Progressive. They cut me a check right there on the spot. If it's a quick job, then you aren't having to wait on one to come in the mail.;)

it depends on the boat... if you have alot of extras invested you have to go with agreed upon value and so AAA and Progressive might not work for ya'.
I use Hayden Yacht ins. in Huntington Beach... they've given me a pretty decent deal on both my current boat, and the last one.

We have anpac.com for all our stuff. (everything except the business is thru them) If your boat isnt a cat they may insure it. (we luckily got ours insured before that policy change.)

I put this on your other post about insurance, but here it is again:
Call Devin Wozencraft. He has some great insurance programs and is easy to work with. His number is: (714) 263-2626.
