Thanks to James (Bullseye) and his family for inviting us out. We had a great time and got to meet some great people. The weather was great and the Rubicon outperformed my expectations. Here are a few pics of the day:)

Looks fun, did the stock rubi make it up all those trails or are there ways to drive around the hard parts?
Either way looks like you had a good day. :D

The Jeep did way better than any of us figured it would, made it through about 98% of the trails. A couple of spots we stacked rocks because of the clearance but other than that no problems. Hands down worth the $$, although the lift is going on next month:idea: :D

WYRD ,did make it thru all the trails ,we did not let him take 1 bypass trial at all ,yes we stacked a few rock but nothing to big ,it did a outstanding job , Shane did better than one of the other jeeps that was there and it was lifted w/ 35" tire ,put the driver had a lot to be desired . nice pics Shane and Amber , we will do it again.but you can not win all the poker money all the time hahahaha, great job

That's great! I only asked because I have a stock Rubi as well and would like to try some trails like that. I've off-roaded (is that a word?) it a bit but haven't done and rock crawling.

Vary capable stock I agree. Nice pictures. You will continue to surprise yourself and many others. To Jeep that Trail Rated badge means something.
Calico is a great place.
I run a 4" Full Traction SA lift with the trainagulated rear. Added a 1" body lift and put 315's on the stock wheels. Works excellent and I still have the 4:10 stock Rubi gears.
You will really be digging it once your lifted. You dont need much. Picking good lines and going with someone in the know can make for a perfect day.
Nice pics.
We should put a run together.

Those pics bring back lots of great thoughts.
Calico is a great place for a family getaway. I'm gonna have to make it back out there soon.

we run a stock unlimited, non rubicon, put a one inch body lift and 31 inch tires (stock is 30), I have yet to get her stuck, been all through calico, anza, death valley, big bear, and a few others. I don't have lockers and it suprises the hell out of me where this thing will go.. I will never sell this car..

I sold my 97 Camaro SS (SLP car dealer ordered) back in '04 to purchase another work truck and waited for the '05 Unlimited Rubi to come out. I paid to much for it as in May of 05 they were in big demand. I was still able to search and find what I wanted. The dealer knew it...I was hosed.
The only reason I lifted it up was mostly rocks and break over angle. I just bought a tummy tuck skid plate and will now shove the X-fer case up a little. I dont know how the new JK's deal with this except 35's fit will just a small lift on those.
I bring up the Camaro because my wife was joking what a departure it was Camaro to Jeep. I agreed the jeep is noisy, slow, rides bad, gets horrible mileage...and sorry dear but you will have to pry it from my cold dead hands if you want to drive it:D
