A friend of mine wants to buy one of their deck boats.
I've never heard of Hurricane, but I have to assume that some of you have. How are they? Junk or quality?

Arent those boats like 4winns? I think a little cheaper version of them, but similar.

I like 'em alot, esp. the Sundeck. Big Lake boats, very popular in the mid-west. Campbell in Havi is a dealer.

My brother has an older one with a 185 outboard, 24' deck boat, tri-hull. It isn't the prettiest thing but runs OK and rides very well. Definite value for what you spend and very easy to insure.

I haven't seen any of their new stuff. But they have been making deckboats for a long time. Longer then any one else I can think of by far. Must be doing something right.

RD gave one rave reviews a few years back when he did his boat show overview. But, what does he know anyways.

The local dealer in Chandler said they would only do a 350mag, nothing higher. I bet the 300merc outboard would do a better job.

We have friends with the 24 deck. With a 90hp honda the boat planes out NO problem with 10 on board. And still does 40mph. We're on it all the time. It actually handles quite well for what it is. MUCH better than a pontoon. Hell I've actually skied behind it.

My Parents had a 24 with a 7.4 & Bravo. I think it was a '96 or somewhere around there. It was a pretty good boat for the money. Served their purpose well.

My dad has the 24'. I'll see if I can round up some pics. We pulled 2 wakeboards all day last summer. Planes well and does 40-45. We use it along Big River. His is older (94 I think) and he has the Ford small block V8 with I/O. We boat all day on that thing and load it with 10 people with no issues. We call it Ol' Faithful. Great all around boat for the money.

If you're here in SoCal, the local dealer is in Anaheim (Anglers Marine I think) on La Palma. If you go check them out, take a look at the Ebbtide deck boats, they are really nice, but more expensive. you can get the new 26ft. ebbtide deck with a 496HO.

We had a '92 I believe, and we ran the ****ing shit out of that thing all through high school. Had a 200 merc on it with a retardedly loud system we put in. On a regular weekend it would be loaded down with three or four ice chests at a time and atleast 10 people. I dont think we could of asked for a better boat to run the river in through those years.
We would ski and wakeboard for hours and hours behind that damn boat. From dam to dam it was the perfect barge for floating on as well. I dont even want to know how many hours that boat had on it. We were on a three weekend a month schedule back then... ah the good life!! Well come to think of it... the guy we sold it to said it delaminated and sank.... lol, so who knows.
