2007 Nostalgia Jet Circle Boat Racing
Anyone that is interested, would like to get involved, or want more info in Jet Boat Circle racing, please let me know by email: epm@cox.net. We need a minimum of 5 boats to have a Nostalgia Jet Class. I would like to see a full field of 8 – 9 boats at each and every race.

APBA & SCSC Revised Nostalgia Jet General Rules
1) Required: Minimum of 5 Boats.
2) Maximum length of 21'.
3) Entry Fee: $100/average pre day, rates may vary.
4) Plus APBA Membership fee (can apply for Single Event rather than full membership).
5) Plus SCSC membership fee - $20/year.
6) Certified Life Jacket & Helmet, Per APBA specified rules. Helmet and jacket must meet APBA rule, (ii) For participants in open and unrestrained cockpits, the upper fifty percent (50%) of the helmet must be neon, florescent, red, orange, yellow, or international orange, and meet current certification. All safety equipment MUST be worn properly per manufacturers specified instructions. Failure to do so will be disqualification for that heat race.
7) Boats to be in safety compliance, Per APBA specified rules.
8) No Jet-A-way required.
9) GPS - must have max speed sensor and recording. Failure to have working GPS in boat will result in disqualification for that particular heat, for first offense. Second offense will result in disqualification from racing at that event.
10) Maximum speed 80.9 MPH. Going over this GPS max speed limit will result in disqualification for that particular heat, for first offense. Second offense will result in disqualification from racing at that event.
11) Kill switch.
12) Neck collar.
13) Helmet restraints.
14) All drivers must wear a full length, one or two-piece, 1 layer driving suit. New drivers to the class are allowed to wear long durable pants and a long sleeve shirt for a period of two initial race events.
15) Any engine (ci), as many carbs as wanted, super chargers, blowers, turbos, anything including Turbine engines.
16) Turning Rudder - must be equipped with a rudder that extends at least 4 inches below the lowest point of the jet nozzle housing and has a minimum surface area of 16 inches.
17) Jet-O-vator or Place Diverter adjustable nozzles may be used. A Diverter stop is required and the rooster tail is not to exceed 4’-5’ off the water, this also includes fixed nozzle boats. Diverter shall remain in the full down position at all times when operating in or near pit row. Upon departure from pit row, the nozzle shall remain in the full down position until safely on the racecourse.
18) Through bolted loader must be securely attached using 4 - 5/16" black oxide bolts.
19) The numbers must be at least 12 inches in height, starting with cj, in contrasting colors, and legible.
20) Have fun and be safe.
Infraction/Penalty:
1) Any driver who damages or dislodges a buoy receives a one lap penalty.
2) Any driver who destroys a buoy, regardless of fault shall pay the prescribed amount for that size buoy, ie: Small Buoys (A-4) $75/buoy, Large Buoy (A-6) $200/buoy.

Squirt boat fever!!! It looks like it's catchin' on. Hopefully you guys will have enough boats on a consistant level to race all 5 races.
