Almost forgot to grab a few shots yesterday. What a great day and as onlookers, we had the place to ourselves. Wes's, Trident looked great - no pics sorry. Hard time keeping the check book in the back pocket. :D

No problem with insurance. Boat was setup a little different than normal. ;) It had 1:25's. Don't know about prop size yet.

The day before yesterday was vey windy, but yesterday was very nice, with hardly any wind. The lake was smooth and sticky all day, I'm glad to see they were able to put up some big numbers below the dam.

The Powerboat testers suck, at least the ones that tested my boat. They tested it back in 2002 and said it felt "overpowered" and that they'd like to run it with "more mild power". Bunch of woosies. They should have let Bob run my boat.

Bluewater Casino. It's at the base of Parker Strip or far south end.

Looks like a Vulva drive hanging on the back of that Nordic? Could just be the lighting, but it looks gray from the pic. Could be a Teague Platinum, also?

Beer 30, I don't think its one of those old vulva drives, might be an IMCO SC

Funniest thing......My son and I were eating lunch at Roadrunner when Bob Teague drove by testing the big Lavey. He was doing hole shots and measuring time to plane using a radar gun in front of the docks.
A guy at the bar says. "Hey look at that idiot, he has an expense boat and doesn't even know how to drive it". I just smiled.

No Bob doesn't suck and I don't know John T. The point I was making was that they let some "junior" test driver run my boat who didn't know what hell he was doing, then they let him write a laughable review.

I've been in several boats with Bob in rough conditions and have always felt very comfortable.

Your right that review does seem to be a little different then all the rave things I've heard about the 22 Classic.

DeepVee , if Tomlinson was the test driver of your Donzi , I wouldn't write him off as a rookie ;):D . He may have been concerned with the Donzi's round keel with high horsepower for the average boat buyer .

BTW , I like the 22 Blackhawk >

Hey Spectras Only, that's Mike Miller in your blackhawk picture. Do you know Mike?
I don't think anyone with a well known name tested the boat. The write up says "staff writer". They just didn't know how to drive the boat.

Just curious, why would they use a radar gun? I'm sure every one of these boats has GPS & they probably have digital handhelds. Does it seem more "official" with a radar gun?

On the river, a radar gun may be more accurate then GPS. Because both boats are on a moving river......floating with 0 over-water speed would show as a couple miles per hour on a GPS.......
Radar is more accurate on a moving river......:D

Radar gun is the most accurate , providing it's calibrated .
