Just flipped a friends Hondo, and it has a 1/8" hook on the bottom. What is the best method for fixing this?

An eighth is a fair bit. Work from a point about 6' forward of the transom at the centerline. You'll need to take some (like a stenth) of the material from the trailing edge and fill the rest. I used a 4"x2"x48" piece of aluminum and spray glued 36 grit sanding strips to it. Tapped in a couple of handles on each end so I could shove it around and let the weight of the material do the work. Provided your not filling more than 1/16 I'd just use bondo. When your done mix 1 qt. of graphite with a gal. of black enamel and shoot the bottom. Good Luck.

Homemade speed coat. The theory is the graphite provides some texture. Reducing the amount of friction created between the hull and water.
