So far I've come up with a mockup of how I'm going to do everything. Using an aluminum manifold, I have ports for my water inlet/outlet, waterhose hookup, and water to the headers. The top pipe will be going to the engine. I'm probably going to ditch the ball valve and use a new gate valve that I have. Going to mount it behind the seats for easy access.

I've got one of these on order and am going to put it either before the manifold or after, not sure where yet.

I would do it after the manifold. This way you have ample pressure to the headers and when you run it on the garden hose, you can run it wide open and that valve will drop the pressure.

Thanks. That sounds like a good idea. Hopefully the bypass valve will be in later this week and I can get my hoses made and get the motor put in.
