I figure her breasts are probably caught in between the engine hatch cover and the back of the seat,, she isn't going anywhere....

What about the two guys sitting up on the lid in the back? That's almost as bad. Maybe we should all have to put stickers on our boats near the seats that read "Passengers must remain seated IN A SEAT while boat is in motion in case of accidentally fall overboard."
Stupid is as stupid does.

Well, if they can post stuff like this on the DCB website then I guess it must be an approved method of 'heavy haulin'. "Idiots' doesn't quite do them justice!

out here that is a ticket...passengers must remain seated in a seat...not just on the hatch etc.
Heck I got stopped a couple years ago one day on the pontoon boat when my sister in law had her big ass on the up on the hatch :argue:

The nice thing about a small (19') boat. Lowrider's passengers stay in the seats because we either do some swerving tubing, or her acceleration capability. The ride on most lakes isn't quite good enough to let somebody lay across the hood-sundeck anyhow. At least my jet doesn't double as a 400HP salami-slicer.

I got pulled over years ago motoring through Copper Canyon and my wife was sitting on the engine hatch like those guys in the pic were. I didn't get a ticket but they pulled my ass on board there patrol boat and made me do a sobriety test.

That boat is owned by a friend of mine :p ..Ray .....or Rio Ray as he is known...wide open all the time many pics of his boat are at WOT...with his right hand dangling over the side... ...and lots of fun....boat has 500's in it...

Is that Rio Ray driving with the 3 passengers not where they should be? Doesn't sound like the kinda guy I'd go on the water with...prone to bad judgement.

Those are some really f---ed up comments about mbrown and his wife. He's obviousily idleing somewhere if hes guilty of negligence then i'd guess 90% of us are........

I can personally attest to the fact that MBrown is one of the safest drivers on the water. Bseides the fact that his boat is/was amazing, he puts the safety of others before anything, and he never pushes the envelope when it is anything but safe to do so. If what Mike and his boat "crew" are doing in his boat, which i will add is at idle, makes him an idiot, then obviously you have never been to the river to see the kind of death defying stupidity that is present everyday on the water. Just my .02...

WTF? I hope you are joking...I am idling in the channel or near Copper Canyon....remember the day vividly....what is the issue with that?
Appreciate the positive comments on my driving habits....I don't take driving boats lightly...

I've let people sit on my sun pad when idling around the dock. I wouldn't let them sit on my swim step nor would I let them sit on the sunpad when underway.
If the guy is idling, I think he's ok in my book.
The other guy is hauling a$$ and that girl on the back has sh$t for brain riding where she is...and so do the two dudes...and so does the driver for letting them!!!

its not safe or legal idle or not

its not safe or legal idle or not
On it being Safe, I think is open for debate which I am not going to try and change your mind nor any others; I will take the risk.......on it being legal; maybe not but I have never been ticketed for it so maybe the law in this regard is not applied to the letter on the lakes and rivers I boat on; even that day since it was the poker run 2004 I passed a number of cops in the channel...which none asked me to get her off the hatch.........I respect your view though.

I wish I had a nickel for every boat that cruised through the channel with a trophy girl on the sun pad. And, I wish I had a dime for every one of those that should have gotten off the pad years ago. :rollside:

maybe boat cop can give us a and official call on the legal part
and I personally don't feel it is a high risk at idle but shit happens fast even at idle and especially in the channel better safe than sorry
