View Full Version : pioneer avhp4900 dvd question
have a buddy installing one of these and it keeps telling him he cant watch a movie while driving anyone know how to bypass it so it can be watched while driving. i know with my avic n-3 all i had to do is flip a switch.

If it's anything like the Kenwood you have to ground out the parking brake switch in the wiring harness for the unit. Alledgedly, that is. :D

yeah he said he did that but still wont let him watch while driving.

First off you know its dangerous. Thats why they make them that way.

yeah it is but whats the point in having it if it only works while your stopped with the e brake on. thanks for the link.

I have a Pioneer one in my truck and my guy that installed it put a toggle switch under the dash. When you put a movie in you flip the toggle switch and it make it think the brake is on. You then can watch a movie while drivng. I don't, but the wife does on our way to the river:D
