View Full Version : 2004 Eliminator Daytona 25' For Sale

It's been fun having 2 boats but not practical if they are almost the same type. Anyone who has seen this boat knows that it is BRAND NEW. She runs great and handles rough water pretty darn well.
http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/6/7/88114067.htm
I am willing to consider the following trades:
19' to 22' open bow jet boat. Must be in perfect or near perfect condition. No projects.
25' to 28' pontoon or tritoon with bigger power. Must be less than 5 years old and low hours.
These are the only 2 types of boats that could enhance our boating needs.

Good luck with the sale.
Nice boat.:)
I'll be in Havasu April 26th thru the 29th if you would like to see it.
The boat has a relatively shallow draft and does well on the river.

I actually have the specific edition of Hot Boat Magazine where they tested the boat and THEIR test said GPS'd at 87 MPH. I have not done this speed, Hot Boat's driver did. As we all know that is in optimum conditions. I can scan it in and post if anyone would like to see it.

My ole slow barge is running a Bravo 26, my sons daytona runs a 24/1;35 gears and the HTM 26 bravo. These are verified numbers. Your boat also has the open bow which would normally scrub at least 2 mph so mybe the numbers got transposed and should be 78mph, just being truthful and not a smart ass. I forgot my other guy with a Mach26 Openbow/HP500/26 Bravo and his speed is 78mph so unless you have one of those special motors its just doubtful that you will see 87mph, IMHO!! NSF PS and thats respectable, believe it.

So I am in Havasu right now where I have a copy of the magazine where this set-up was tested by Hot Boat. I'm going to scan in the pages where it says HOT BOAT did the test and their results. I'm going to try to post hem but I have not mastered that yet on my Mac. It might take me a few minutes but they will be up very soon.
p.s. It is an open bow they tested as well.

Thanks for the follow-up post and PM. I know how aggravating it can be with people claiming speeds and nothing to back it up. Your doubt in my numbers actually made me go scan and post the article. This will probably help me sell the boat quicker too. I've already had 2 PM's this morning after posting the article. Thanks for getting my a$$ in gear.
As for why the Eliminator is faster than the DCB with the same set-up? Who knows. It might just go to show that there are some really great hulls out there that do better than some big names that have been getting a lot of publicity lately. Not that Eliminator is not a big name, just saying that DCB has been doing a great job getting the "BUZ WORD" marketing going and that alone has cast a shadow over some other builders.
Kudos to those builders that have been around a long time and continue to produce fantastic boats. May their regime never end. You know who you are.

OK another bump, after reading the way the boat was set up it is identical to my sons 97 with single step which from what I know is supposedly faster than the dbl step. The test boat was running 1.35 gears and a 24 Bravo just as his is exactly. He runs rpm's the same and like I said he has done his best speed at 80mph, right where he sould be, thats all I can say, over and out. Hope you get'er sold, its a pretty Daytona!!!!! NSF

Thanx NSF. I wanted to take it out his week/weekend but boy am I glad I had the Howard out there. We hit the rough stuff at over 80mph and just flew over the top of it. We did launch twice when we hit what seemed like a couple of 6 ft rollers but it handled it no problem. We'll be out for Desert Storm and the River Run on Wednesday thru Sunday in 2 weeks. I still want to run it and see what kind of #'s she'll do. These past few days would have been tuff on the Daytona for testing.

lol you just might have been able to catch me--with 5 people on there that boat will only run ~97, I had some bow-lifting props on and had to stay in the mid 90's to stay above the porpoise with that fuel and people load :jawdrop:   Gets annoying some times...

Those top speed numbers must have been written by a dyslexic dude.
I have an 01, 500efi, bravo 1.5:1 with a 28 bravo 4 blade. Best mph is 82.3 gps.
My boating buddy has an 03, 500efi, bravo 1:36 with a 26 bravo 4 blade. Best mph is right at 80.1/.2 GPS. Repeatable every day of the week. No way can I see the exact same boat with more weight in the nose running faster than a closed bow boat. Nice boat, great bottom but it would take around 600 hp to approach the speeds you're talking.

A couple other friends/families including someone here from the boards (6 letter word) are going with us to our timeshare. Gonna do some damage anywhere we can find some fun. Shouldn't be too hard in Mexico. We're trying to see if we can rent a Cig for the day and make a coupe speed passes in the bay. :)
It's mostly a family trip but there will be some adult time too.
