Question, help me out here.

What would cause a boat to run perfect all day long and then out of no where back fire and stall, and also, not start back up. It has happened to me twice on two different days.

I was thinking new plugs, cap, and rotor would fix the problem. No MSD. New gas and filters. Every time it happens I remove the cap and there is a small amount of green corosion on the contact points for the plug wires. I clean it up and it starts up again.

when it happens again try un hooking your tach see if that cures the problem
it might just be shorting out ignition

Sounds like you found your own problem....Now you need to find the cure. You're getting condensation in the cap.

Ok so, my guess would be small cracks in the cap? New cap problem goes away. Am I getting warmer here.
