My boat trip

Last week I drove out to Katherines with my teenagers:D
I picked up the boat and trailered it out to the trailer ;)
Bob (ahhell) came the next day and helped me launch. I backed the boat off and he drove the car back up. I docked it with some help from my teenagers (grabbing the dock) Friday the kids and I took the boat out. First I gassed it up. Then I drove it across the basin, past cottonwood to this nice little cove. It was kinda rough on the way up (as the basin can be) Smoother on the way back. Matt came out the next day and assumed driver responsibilities. Bob brought his boat out and we had a great day. We found this cove with cell service. Can't get cell service at our trailer, but you can at this one cove. I "cove called" Angie ;) Went back to the ranch, BBQed and Tom came on over. The next day we headed out. Nice glassey day, Gasoline Alley was empty. They now have a rope around that rock that people sometimes jump off. It was a great week and I am looking forward to more boat trips. Much thanks to Wes and Traci for the moral support :D

It was cold Wednesday and then got warmer each day:D
I've found that even if the wind is blowing around the Marina, sometimes it's glassy out on the lake. The basin is always a crap shoot, you just never know what it's going to be like.
We had so much fun and I'm getting better at driving the boat. The lake is no problem (I've been doing that for years) It's the launching and docking that I'm new at:D
I don't even want to attempt a trailering until I've docked about a million times more.
My little 19 foot Sea Ray, I could take off the trailer, dock, gas, put back on the trailer, drive at night......everything.....This boat is only 7 feet bigger, but it's a LOT different.

We are going slow at this....it's hard (and I understand why) for him.
I just want to practice more:D
and driving the boat makes me REALLY appreciate him. It's nice to relax, have a beer and let someone else drive:D

Looks like fun. reading that you trailered to the trailer made me think a minute, but it indeed what you did. :D
That's great that you can do that, my wife won't even try it. My son can do it, but its still kinda iffy. I get my wife to pull the truck up but that's it.
Our next trip is still 3 weeks away...:(
