This is a 70' Howard Shovelnose that we're redoing for my brother.. It was in very bad shape when we got it 4 or 5 years ago...It sat outside on the side of the house all this time...It needed all the floor, stringers, transom & Bulkheads replaced...That's completed, We now have the bottom regelcoated and ready to turn back over and gelcoat the top and it's ready for hardware...I'll post more pics as we go.........It will have a 396ci.Chevy

Nice looking job Mike. I'd be curious as to how many hrs you think you'll have in this job as compared to the actual hrs when it's all done. I know it's for the love of the game and it doesn't really matter but just wondering to see how far off I actually will be in my own mind.

Billy... We gave up keeping track of the man hours on the Howard.. But, from start to present I could honestly say we're in excess of 400 m/h on this due to the condition we got it in.. It wouldn't make a good sandbox..I have pics of it when we got it and trust me it needed alot of glass work on the exterior & a compete deal on the inside..we replaced all the wood ( floor, bulkhead, transom & reset the stringers) It now has an Oak floor with everything else Blacked out..On the bow, dash & transom we put an Oak & Ribbon Mahogany stripe the center, You know.. to keep it simple..
The bottom, the gunnals & the sponsons have been buffed out & it's ready to turnover and put the finish to the inide... Then finish the top... Still have all the hardware to fabricate & do the install...Oh.....did I mention that it needs a trailer...It didn't come with one, but we have afew that can be modified to fit & it's ready for some good times.....
Along with this project we're doing a cap-off redo on a 19' Daytona that Jeff picked up, Finishing up Jeff's Hydro, Making a plug & molds for a 18' hydro, Have the 12' hydro at Shelfo's for the hardware install...But we're having fun for sure...:D :D :D Hope alls well & we'll see ya'll in June.....

Keep the pics coming I loved to see these projects grow. I truely respect what kind of work goes in to something like that.
