I think my path would be a goopd way to go.
Custom Isky cam from Hi-Tech-Performance, custom version of an Isky 280H, ground for very aggressive ramp speeds, .565" lift, .280* duration (seat-to-seat), 232* at .050" I think.
Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap manifold.
Headers, I went Lightning thru-transom.
If you are fortunate to have Large Oval Port heads ('781's r '353049's) a head porting. you'll be amazed the kind of HP you can get from this setup in a 454 CID engine, at arround 5,000 rpm.
A diverter of some sort, kinda hard with an "E". I have an "F" with factory diverter. May need to search out a split-bowl and then a Place Diverter.
Need a ride plate to go with the diverter, for ride adjustment.
This is the path I am on taking my Taylor SS to over 80, and I think it will work. We can put it up her ot keep it pvt, is all up to you. :)
